Worth Clark’s Rapid Expansion in Florida: A Shoutout to Our Outstanding Agents

Over the past several years, Worth Clark Realty, the 39th largest private independent real estate brokerage in America, has aggressively expanded into new states and markets. Founded in St. Louis, Missouri, our firm has grown from just four states as recent as four years ago to eighteen today, with more than 1,100 entrepreneurial-minded Worth Clark Realtors® actively helping clients buy, sell, and lease homes throughout the country.

Florida, in particular, has experienced rapid growth. As members of nine different MLS systems throughout the state, our widespread reach allows us to connect with a majority of Florida Realtors®. Inviting them to take advantage of 100% compensation plans, low fees, 7-day broker support, an excellent technology package, and more. We don’t sell our agents things they don’t need. There are no downlines, no fluff, and no gimmicks. We focus on providing agents with the best brokerage support experience possible.

With over 120 Worth Clark Realtors® throughout the state of Florida, our managing brokers Bill Munette, Chris Day, and Cris Martinez provide exceptional leadership and 7-day broker support. Worth Clark’s growth in Orlando and Central Florida has been particularly exceptional. Managing broker Chris Day runs the Orlando market. His ability to forge strong relationships and unique gift for being a leader that agents can look to have been instrumental. This has translated to increased agent numbers and transactions for the brokerage, in addition to a better quality of life for those agents joining the company.

We sat down with our Florida managing brokers and discussed the growth and success Florida has been experiencing:

  1. How have you fostered such incredible agent growth in Central Florida?

Chris Day: “Having been in the real estate business for 20 years, I’ve always maintained high standards and built strong relationships. Many of our current agents already knew me, which definitely helped. We also blend some traditional approaches with our virtual operations, thanks to our relationship with a local title office. Regular training sessions twice a week—one for general meetings on Tuesdays and one for continuous education on Thursdays—have been crucial. These sessions cover a variety of topics, from Florida contracts to marketing, which helps our agents improve and retain their competitive edge.”

  1. What advice would you give other brokers and team leaders for growing agent numbers?

Chris Day: “Embrace video marketing. It resonates well with audiences and enhances trustworthiness. While Worth Clark does an excellent job at agent inviting and recruitment, local outreach through personal calls and video can make a significant difference. I believe the traditional brick-and-mortar model is fading, accelerated by the rise of Buyer Brokerage Agreements. The future lies in 100% commission transactional models. As a former franchisee, I understand that many franchise tools are available for free or at low cost elsewhere, making big-name affiliations less valuable.”

  1. How do you manage to retain top-performing agents while also attracting new talent?

Chris Day: “Caring for my agents is key. I ensure prompt responses and am willing to assist with appointments to help my agents secure business. Tools like our Comparative Market Analysis and Buyer Presentation, along with our Transition Playbook, support agents in their daily operations and transitioning between brokerages. These efforts have fostered organic growth, as satisfied agents often attract others.”

  1. How has being an agent with Worth Clark driven more success and growth in your real estate career?

Chris Day: “I believe in the Worth Clark model. The support is outstanding, whether through chat, email, or phone. And, it’s all included. Unlike many 100% commission models, we don’t charge extra for support. Worth Clark allows me to control my business and commissions, which puts more money in my pocket. Although our brand is relatively new in Florida, what’s most important is the individual agent behind the badge, not the company name. Compliance+ is another Worth Clark product that saves time on administrative tasks, allowing me to focus on clients.”

While Chris Day’s contributions are significant, we must also acknowledge the vital roles played by our other Florida managing brokers, Bill Munette and Cris Martinez. Their daily efforts ensure that Worth Clark Realty remains a supportive and dynamic environment for all our agents.

Bill’s dedication to fostering a thriving community of real estate professionals is evident in every aspect of his work. Bill had some empowering things to say about Worth Clark and its agents.

  1. What role do you believe your agents play in shaping the reputation and success of Worth Clark in your community?

Bill Munette: “The agents are Worth Clark! The experience, ongoing training, and support from our managing brokers, corporate, and agent services teams are the cornerstones of Worth Clark’s growth. We aim to cultivate happy and successful agents, which directly contributes to our company’s expansion. We focus on deliberate, well-planned growth to maintain our success across various markets. With the continued success and growth of the agents comes the success and growth of the company.”

  1. What steps have you taken to get to where you are now in your real estate career?

Bill Munette: “I’ve always believed that knowledge is power. From the beginning, I invested in learning every aspect of the real estate industry. Education builds confidence, reliability, and respect, forming a solid foundation for a successful career.”

Another one of our Florida managing brokers, Cris Martinez, commented on the growth in Florida and how she thinks the recent law changes will affect the real estate market.

  1. How do you see the recent law changes affecting agent growth and the real estate market overall?

Cris: “The recent law changes are going to make an impact on both areas quite significantly. On the agent growth side, this change will put agents to the test. New agents will still be excited and motivated, but the unfamiliarity of understanding the guidelines and the need to have conversations will help determine if this is for them. I think that agent growth may potentially slow down. Agents will have to be creative when working for both sellers and buyers and understand what it means to demonstrate the value they bring to the transaction. So the question of how the real estate market will be affected will come down to how everyone can adapt to the changes.”

  1. How has your process for coaching and training agents changed since the recent NAR settlement and rule changes?

Cris: “I can’t say the NAR changes have dramatically impacted my coaching techniques and tactics. However, with training and coaching, it’s important to start by emphasizing that this change is not horrible. While encouraging agents has always been my process, I’ve found myself trying to focus on the rules and requirements of contract lingo and the tasks required. Agents already have difficulty wrapping their heads around the whole thing, so remaining patient is essential.”

  1. What advice would you give agents on how they can maintain growth through this challenging market?

Cris: “The best advice I can give is to embrace the change! Don’t try to find loopholes and strategies that may get you or your broker in trouble. Being a Realtor® truly requires taking the time to learn and understand the industry. Buying, selling, and renting real estate is a life-changing event for some people. We need to have hard conversations, but do it with kindness, love, gentleness, patience, understanding, and wisdom. For those who know the Bible, these are some of the fruits of the Spirit. Be patient with yourself and others. Be great at understanding, and listening, and don’t be too hard on yourself. This industry is amazing and rewarding when you do it right.”

Worth Clark Realty’s exceptional performance in Florida is no accident. Worth Clark ranks in the top 0.5% among over 8,200 real estate firms in the Stellar MLS for its rapid growth, both in the number of agents joining and the increase in sale transactions. We credit our Florida success to our marvelous managing brokers and our innovative 100% compensation model, devoid of gimmicks or downlines, which truly empower our agents.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to supporting our agents and nurturing a culture of excellence. The collective efforts of Bill Munette, Chris Day, and Cris Martinez, drive Worth Clark Realty to new heights. Together, we are building a brighter future for real estate.
