Q: What inspired you to start your real estate career?
A: Real Estate was my Plan B. I worked in the music business and loved the freedom that the position gave me and knew that a straight office job would never work for me. I also feel like your home is one of the essential factors in making a happy life. The thought of being able to help people in the decision-making process of buying a home felt like a gift to me.
Q: What was that moment that you knew you had a passion for helping clients achieve their goals?
A: There is nothing like seeing the excitement of my clients as they walk into “the one.” I remember that feeling I had on the first home I bought.
Q: What is the best real estate advice you’ve read or received?
A: You get a lot more with sugar than salt. When negotiating with agents for your clients, keep it civil. A calm and non-judgemental tone reflects on the way that agent presents to their clients.
Q: What are the nuances of the Texas real estate market(s)?
A: The Texas market is scorching. We have millions of people moving here yearly, and it doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon.
Q: New Realtors® often struggle with lead generation. What would your advice be to a brand new agent in building their business?
A: Every person you know can connect you with others in their respective sphere(s). Physically make a list and add to it daily. Even if you don’t know their phone number or email address yet, they are in your sphere. This is your bread and butter and will be for years.
Q: Although Worth Clark Realty has established itself in many markets, making a switch to a brokerage new to your area can be stressful, and there can be many unknowns. What first attracted you to Worth Clark?
A: I have always been agent-focused in my idea of a perfect brokerage. Worth Clark has the same goals of being the best agent-driven brokerage in the business.
Q: Has the transition from one brokerage to another been stress-free?
A: Yes, the team at WCR is fantastic. They are so organized and the systems they use seriously walk you through the process. The attention to detail is like no other company out there. For a company to spend so much time making sure you are set up and ready to go is not the norm by far, and to have 100% commission and ownership opportunities is a big fat bonus!
Q: What would you tell agents in your area who are considering joining Worth Clark?
A: You will not be left out in the cold. You will have the support you need when you need it. Run, don’t walk.
