Keeping Production High- Featuring the Purple Door Team

From Chicago to Colorado, Worth Clark agents use our flexible platform, 7-day broker support, and abundance of tools to thrive in this new world of real estate! From virtual showings to content creation, here is how Nellie Harris and Debra Dieme of the Purple Door Team have channeled their strengths and our support to be one of Worth Clark’s top producing teams in The Centennial State!

Q. “Purple Door Team”, does your team name have a special meaning or origin?

A. We wanted to be connected with a “cause”. We chose the Denver Safe House and donate a percentage of each transaction to them—the national branding color for domestic violence is Purple. We added the door because it goes with our motto, “Opening Doors. Changing Lives”.

Q. When and why did you start your career in Real Estate?

A. Nellie has been in real estate for 23 years, starting out her career in Aspen, Colorado in property management. Her previous career was Law Enforcement. Debra has been in real estate for about 3 years. She had a lengthy career in Healthcare where she worked on helping build clinics and hospitals, along with contracting and leasing. So, real estate felt like the perfect transition for her.

Q. Congrats on a productive first half of 2020! What are 1-2 things that you think make your team so successful?

A. The team is so successful because we creatively leverage our strengths and truly love helping our clients. Debra has many contacts from the health industry that keeps her connected to potential new leads, and Nellie has referrals from her many years in real estate.

Q. Marketing- how have you connected with potential clients during this challenging time?

A. We made it a top property as staying connected is absolutely crucial. We spent time calling, emailing, and texting our contact lists. We also reached out to our lender partners. Plus, we created a successful neighborhood newsletter, which includes info about the current real estate market and lender info.

Additionally, maintaining relationships with past leads has been very important. 12 years ago I sold a home to a client and during this past year they wanted to sell and buy and a piece of land- to build their dream home. I did mention this process might be difficult during this time because no showings were allowed (COVID precautionary measures). They chose to push through this difficulty to secure their dream property. I put their current house on the market, using tools such as virtual tours… it was under contract within a week and closed in a month! Additionally, we were able to find and close on their ideal plot of land a month later. I love it when we can continue to build relationships with previous clients by helping them achieve their goals!

Q. As a team, how do you stay active within your community?

A. Staying active in our community is important to us. We are affiliated with Denver Safe House and create a quarterly neighborhood newsletter, attend social events, and engage with potential and existing clients with pop-bys during holidays. Our neighborhood, where we both live, is perfect for the aforementioned newsletter- which includes real estate and lender updates, calendar of events, community information, HOA information, business ads, and fun articles. We create and hand-deliver this newsletter to approximately 200 homes (and add to Nextdoor) which enables us to directly connect with our community in a real way.

Q. There are a lot of brokerage options out there, what makes Worth Clark so uniquely helpful?

A. Worth Clark is top-notch when it comes to technology. The service and help when needed are remarkable. We can ALWAYS reach someone for questions – even during off-hours.

Q. What tools that WCR provides have been particularly useful to your team?

A. Worth Clark provides excellent tools for our team. The digital file upload and review are user-friendly and helpful. Receiving our check at closing is also a perk. Plus during COVID we opted to use direct deposit at times.

Q. For Realtors® who are thinking of joining WCR, what would you say to them?

A. You will not be disappointed! Everyone on the WCR team is helpful and friendly. It’s the Midwest work ethic!
